The 54 Film Fest is a Knoxville based film competition designed to help local film makers network, have an outlet for their creative talent, and ultimately be inspired to create better films with-in a competitive environment.
How it Works
Starting February 3rd, competitors are given a prop, line of dialogue, and action that must be used in their 4-7 minute film.
These items will be given at the Inception meeting at the CTV building in downtown Knoxville. Competitors will have 54 hours (6 p.m. Friday – 12 a.m. Monday) to script, shoot, and edit their film which must be turned in on time at CTV.
24 hours into the competition, teams will receive a call or email from the executive producer who will have a surprise 4th element that can be used in their short films.
Screening of the films will be held at Carmike Cinemas Wynnsong 16 in Knoxville two weeks after the competition. The films will be screened once more on local public access station CTV.
A week after the screening, an award ceremony will be held at Carmike Cinemas Wynnsong 16 for various categories dealing with the films.
